An Atlanta woman serving with the IDF in Jerusalem was killed in what Israeli officials are calling a terrorist attack. Sergeant Rose Ida Luben, aged 20, moved to Israel over two years ago to serve with the Border Police.
Funeral services were held today for Luben, and her family members from Atlanta to California attended. The attack occurred on October 7th when Luben was defending a kibbutz. She was then assigned to a new post at Damascus Gate in Old Jerusalem, where she was attacked and stabbed to death by a 16-year-old terrorist. Despite her tragic death, Luben will be remembered as a hero for defending.
