A man has been arrested for making a social media threat against Bell Gardens High School.
Police found the suspect in possession of stolen guns and ammunition.
The man, identified as 21-year-old Rene Aviso from Bell Gardens, was caught with another man allegedly placing a suitcase in the trunk of a car.
Police conducted a traffic stop and found the stolen firearms, a large amount of ammunition, and other items in the vehicle, including a Glock 22 handgun, extended magazines, ballistic vests, handcuffs, and over 80 rounds of miscellaneous ammunition.
Aviso is facing multiple charges, including making a terrorist threat, possession of stolen property, and grand theft of a firearm.
Police say both suspects are admitted gang members, and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident has left parents and students worried, and increased patrols have been observed around the campus.
