A man has been arrested after a shooting in Orlando that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old woman.
The accused gunman, who had previously been arrested twice for domestic violence, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
The shooting took place around 10:16 p.m.
the previous night, and when deputies arrived at the scene, they found the woman had been shot.
She was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries.
The man has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and made his first appearance in court.
The woman’s family has requested privacy but shared that she was a mother of three and “the life of the party.” The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that there are resources and help available for those experiencing domestic violence.
