In a tragic incident, an Arizona couple has been arrested in connection with the murder of a two-year-old boy, as reported by Glendale Police.

The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Johnny Brazil II and 20-year-old Leila Lopez.

On May 16, police responded to a distressing 911 call reporting a child not breathing near the vicinity of 59th and Olive Avenues.

Authorities revealed that paramedics rushed the young boy to the hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.

Initially, Brazil and Lopez claimed that the child had been attacked by a dog.

However, upon further investigation, they confessed to brutally beating and ultimately killing the child.

The couple was found to have deceived the police, paramedics, and the hospital about the circumstances surrounding the boy’s injuries.

As a result, Brazil and Lopez have been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse.

Their arrest comes as a devastating blow, highlighting the horrific mistreatment that led to the untimely death of the innocent child.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding the well-being and safety of vulnerable children.

Authorities are working diligently to ensure justice is served for the victim, as well as to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
