Residents of The River’s Edge RV Park in Black Canyon City, Arizona, have been ordered to evacuate by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office due to flooding in the Aqua Fria River.

The park is situated along the river and is at high risk for flooding.

Some residents have reported being warned of the danger by authorities and have started moving to higher ground.

Others have been monitoring the situation themselves, checking the water levels every 20 minutes to an hour.

An evacuation shelter has been set up at Cannon Elementary School in Black Canyon City for those affected by the flooding.

It is expected that the situation will worsen as more rain is expected in the coming days.
