Breaking news on this Thursday evening comes from Stanley County, just east of Charlotte.
An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 16-year-old girl.
The Stanley County Sheriff’s Office has identified the girl as Stephanie Morton, who is five foot four inches tall with red hair and blue eyes.
According to authorities, Stephanie was last seen at South Stanly High School this morning at around 7:30.
They believe she may be in the company of a 30-year-old man named Dwayne Bartlett.
It is believed that the two are traveling in a red passenger car.
A surveillance photo of the suspect’s car has been released.
