Akron, Ohio has a thriving music scene that is blending genres in unique and unexpected ways.
One such collaboration is between progressive folk group “A Band Named Ashes” and rapper Darrell Woodall, also known as King Locust.
The two musicians met when Woodall recorded several albums at lead singer Nate Vaill’s recording studio.
The unlikely friendship has resulted in a collaboration that will see the release of an EP in May.
The Akron music scene continues to prove that combining genres and cultures can produce incredible results.
