Elizabethshhorn, who had been residing in a Brentwood guest house through Airbnb for over a year without making any rent payments, was recently escorted out of the rental property by the police. Hirshhorn had been occupying the place since 2021, but the homeowner claims that she hadn’t paid rent for a total of 575 days and is now demanding a hefty amount of $100,000 for relocation expenses.
It’s worth noting that the property was never authorized as a rental, and because Hirshhorn stayed for at least six months, the landlord couldn’t legally evict her under LA’s Just Cause Ordinance, which left the situation unclear as to whether she has permanently moved out or intends to return.
