AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s visit to Bihar heats up politics in the region
The politics in Bihar is now getting heated up with the arrival of Asaduddin Owaisi, the AIMIM Chief, who is on a two-day visit to Seemanchal.
The fear of Owaisi’s arrival has become extremely important for the state’s politics, especially in light of the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Following the BJP and the Mahagathbandhan, the AIMIM is also set to make its presence felt in Seemanchal.
Owaisi, who is accompanied by his colleagues, is on a padayatra in Seemanchal, covering Purnia and Kishanganj.
He will also address a massive public meeting in Kishanganj.
The fear of Owaisi’s impact is particularly significant given that the Seemanchal region is connected to Assam and West Bengal, where there is a Muslim population of 40 to 70 percent.
In the 2020 assembly elections, Owaisi’s party had won 5 out of the 24 seats in Seemanchal.
Though some of his party’s MLAs later joined the RJD after being elected, his impact cannot be ignored.
After separating from Nitish Kumar, the AIMIM Chief had held a massive rally in Purnia, and the Mahagathbandhan had organized a big rally too.
All eyes are now on Owaisi and his influence in the region.
