Miami Firefighters Battle Blaze at Abandoned Apartment Building

On Thursday afternoon, a large fire broke out at an abandoned three-story building in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami.

The fire burned for several hours and required the assistance of dozens of firefighters to bring it under control.

According to local news sources, the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Initially, firefighters aggressively attacked the fire inside the building but were forced to switch to a defensive strategy due to safety concerns.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the building was abandoned and there were no life safety hazards.

Firefighters continued to douse the building with water to ensure that the fire did not reignite.

Despite the intensity of the blaze, crews were able to get the fire under control by 4 PM.

Nearby residents described the firefighting efforts as impressive, and footage from the scene showed the flames were extensive.

The City of Miami Fire Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.

At this time, it is unclear if the building will be salvaged or demolished.
