An 86-year-old man from Clearwater has been arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run accident, according to Pinellas County deputies.
Timothy Rush is believed to be responsible for the incident that occurred on Thursday night, where a bicyclist was hit from behind while on Enterprise Road in Safety Harbor.
Unfortunately, the person sustained fatal injuries.
Following the investigation, Rush was found to be in the area on the night of the crash and damage on his car linked him to the incident.
He has now been charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
