Phoenix, Arizona – It’s going to be a warm and sunny weekend with temperatures reaching up to 80 degrees, which is the first time this year.
The NASCAR race on Sunday is also going to be a beautiful day with clear blue skies and temperatures starting at 67 degrees and eventually hitting 80 degrees.
However, Northern Arizona is experiencing cloudy and cooler weather, with Flagstaff at 40 degrees and Sedona at 50 degrees.
There are some spotty showers expected in the Grand Canyon, Kingman, and Flagstaff areas today, but the valley remains dry and warm throughout the weekend.
A weak low pressure system is expected to bring some rain to the valley and northern areas on Wednesday and Thursday.
California, on the other hand, is expecting record rainfall amounts, possibly getting more than three inches of rain.
Despite the upcoming rain, the temperatures are going to remain high, with Monday and Tuesday hitting 85 degrees before dropping down to the mid 70s by Thursday.
