Search Continues for Missing 7-Year-Old Boy in Moss Landing after Mother Found Deceased
First responders are currently searching for a 7-year-old boy who went missing in the water off Moss Landing, Monterey Bay.
The search resumed early this morning, and involved the Coast Guard, North County Fire, and the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The search effort was initiated after a passerby found a 3-year-old boy alone on the beach who told first responders that his mother had gone swimming and his brother was missing.
The mother was later found deceased in the water.
The family is reportedly from the Watsonville-Salinas area.
The search for the missing boy continues, and the Coast Guard helicopter and the Sheriff’s dive team are currently involved in the effort.
