Community activist Pat Gibbons has offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for a recent string of armed robberies in the northwest suburbs.
The incidents occurred on Friday night, with three separate robberies taking place outside Rivers Casino and Des Plaines, and a fourth robbery happening near the Mariano’s in Park Ridge.
According to police, three men armed with handguns were driving a red Nissan Rogue with Florida plates.
Two of the victims were also pistol-whipped.
The robberies have sparked concern in the Chicagoland area, with many saying that crime in the city is out of hand.
Gibbons hopes that the reward will encourage anyone with information to come forward and help bring the perpetrators to justice.
