The suspect in this case, 59-year-old Wayne Tweed, has been located and arrested at a North Phoenix home. He is currently undergoing the booking process and being interviewed by detectives at Police Headquarters.

The arrest was made in connection to a fire that occurred yesterday, resulting in the death of 86-year-old Elizabeth Bell and the hospitalization of another victim for smoke inhalation. The second victim, a 59-year-old man, provided valuable information to detectives about Tweed’s whereabouts. Investigators are still trying to determine the motives behind this homicide and are exploring the history of the property and the relationship between Tweed and Bell.

Tweed is currently facing second-degree murder charges. A search warrant is being executed at the home where Tweed was found, and evidence is being collected.

Additionally, a 47-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on unrelated felony warrants. This investigation is ongoing..
