In, Brian Yanis reports that presidential candidates are already looking ahead to 2024. The campaign downplayed the endorsement of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, comparing it to a meaningless move at the end of a one-sided game.

At a rally in De Moine, Governor Reynolds endorsed DeSantis and took a swipe at former President Trump, stating that the country needs a disciplined leader who prioritizes the nation over self-interest and has the ability to win. Reynolds believes Trump cannot win a general election. According to the latest De Mo register poll, Trump has a significant lead in Iowa, with DeSantis and former Ambassador Nikki Haley tied for second place.

DeSantis acknowledges that it is still early in the race and that there is fluidity in the rankings. However, DeSantis’ campaign is calling for Haley to drop out of the race, branding her and other candidates as spoilers who will only increase Trump’s chances of winning the nomination. Senator Tim Scott and other candidates are also targeting Haley ahead of the upcoming debate in Miami.
