A 17-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Tarpon Springs, Florida on March 28th.

Mia Shawn was hit by a dark gray 2017 limited edition Toyota Tundra while crossing the road at Klosterman Road and U.S 19.

The driver fled the scene and the police are asking for the public’s help to locate the vehicle.

The police have found parts that match the type of vehicle at the crash site and are taking every measure possible to find the driver responsible.

Mia’s family has urged the driver to turn themselves in and warned them that they will be found.

Mia was visiting Tarpon Springs from Pompano Beach and had dreams of working with animals.

Her family will be hosting a celebration of life for her in Pompano Beach.
