Inwood, Manhattan – A 14-year-old student has been taken into custody for allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old fellow student at the Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School on Wednesday.
The incident occurred inside the school premises where the younger boy reportedly stabbed the victim twice in the leg.
The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
According to the NYPD, the stabbing was not an act of hostility, and the school released a statement thanking their staff for their quick response to the incident.
