A deadly car crash occurred early on Saturday morning near Florin Road and Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento.
One person was killed and four others were injured in the two-car collision, with varying degrees of seriousness.
The conditions of the injured victims are currently unknown.
Meanwhile, in Modesto, a truck rolled down an embankment near Dry Creek, killing one woman and seriously injuring another.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the cause of the crash remains unclear.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested in South Sacramento on Thursday for a shooting that occurred back in February.
The suspect’s home was searched, and two guns and narcotics were discovered.
Sacramento police also responded to an armed robbery on 15th St.
earlier this morning and arrested two suspects while recovering stolen property and two guns.
In other news, the Placer County is still in the process of cleaning up homes destroyed by the Mosquito Fire that occurred last summer.
And in international news, concerns are growing over the safety of TikTok after it was discovered that employees of the Chinese tech company that owns the app inappropriately gathered data on users, including two journalists.
